1995 Cadillac El Dorado Hard starting sometimes when warm

Engine will always start in a couple revolutions of the engine when cold. The same applies when warm if it is restarted within 5 to 10 minutes. If left longer when warm, engine will crank and crank. Once it cranks and cranks, if I try it again it starts. My dealer installed new fuel pump last year. It almost seems if there is a vapor lock or a sensor problem when warm.

i would check the fuel pressure regulator to make sure its not leaking fuel into intake causing a flooding condition. remove vacuum line to it and if there is any sign of gas then replace it.

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be only a dirty fuel filter which was clogged by a rusted fuel tank,which i then had cleaned up.To prevent the tank from further rust i try to fill it up to the maximum as often as possible(and believe that no matter what the fuel price might be it's always a bargain when you drive a V8)
