I am needing to replace the heater core in my car. I was told by many people that to replace a heater core you have to take apart the dash board. (That is just in general on most cars, as they say). I wanted to know where is it located on my car. Do i need to take apart the dash board to get to this part ? And to check the hoses on the heater core, is there a way of just looking at it from under the car? Or get at it from the firewall, from under the hood or car?

I have the same car and just had the same problem, if you just caught the leak and it's not to bad, try using a product called "Block Sealer." It flows through the whole coolant system and seals any leaks you have. There is a little bit of a process to it, you must flush out all coolant that is in the system, fill it with water, mix the sealer with hot water and pour it in, let the car idle for about 10 min, drain the water out of the system, let it sit so the sealant can cure, and then add the coolant/water mix and your good to go. It sounds like a lot, but it's not too bad. It's much easier than trying to get the heater core replaced (Cheaper as well)
Good luck.
