92 eldorado 4.9L V8 running extremely rich only getting 6-8 MPG what could be causing this with no SES light?
I just bought the car and it ran rough and had a coolant leak. I fixed the coolant leak and did a full on tune up. The guy i bought from said it was policed seized and searched so it torn apart but it sat for 2 yrs.This car is running soo rich it almost makes you wanna throw up. Black soot on the exhaust pipes and the car kinda pauses before moving if you step on it but if you accelerate slow its smooth. I checked all sorts of sensors visually and i dont have a service engine light and after i replaced the MAP sensor that code went away. im stumped but this car is eating gas like no tomorrow and stinks. Any help is greatly appreciated.
