1989 Cadillac El Dorado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i change a hose but it keeps showing cooling fan fault and after a while it start showing coolant and tempeture sign and the engine start to heat up how do i fix it

is the radiator fan(s) coming on? if not check fuses and relays. if all OK then check engine coolant temp. sensor/switch
