Engine Mechanical problem
1985 Cadillac El Dorado V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic
this has happened twice in the past year...wile driving at normal speeds around town, the car will suddenly surge or speed up for a moment and then seem to miss or sputter, miss and drive poorly as it shifts the transmission into all its four speeds at a very slow speed..I do manage to get the car home and it seemed ok the next few hours after it had stopped...was wondering if this seems to be a computer problem or a sensor of some type telling teh engine and trans to do something it shouldn't or? thanks...appreciate your help...thsi us a very nice 85 Cad convertible I want to keep..is a computer diagnosis in order? or do you think it a trans problem?
