The rear windows in My car wont go up or down unless the back doors are open. Apparently something is "crimping" them when doors are closed. How do I fix this?

Both rear windows to not operate with the doors closed? Is this from there respective switches, as well as the drivers door switch? Did this all occur at the same time? There is little that ties the circuits together, other than communications. Usually it is a fault with the wiring either in a door, in the pass through, or in the connection from the door to the body harness(in the b-pillars).

I also have the exact problem. Will not open from ANY switch unless back doors are open. Very bothersome and annoying.

Hello,

This sounds like a problem with the BCM thinking the doors are open when closed and closed when open. Disconnect the battery negative cable for 20 minutes and reconnect to see if the BCM will reconfigure. If not please scan the BCM for codes.

Please let us know happens so it will help others.

Well, mine is a 2005 DTS, does exactly same thing. Nothing from any switch. Unless doors open partially, don't open. I have looked carefully at the bundle of wires that pass through and see no nicks or spots where it may be crimped. I will try the reset with battery unplugged.
Also another odd issue is that in Winter car starts ALL the time. Summer drive and turn off for 20 minutes, no start. Wait 15 minutes, zoom-zoom starts. I thought starter but not now. What module would overheat in Summer that prevents it but not get hot enough to prevent in Winter. I know there are a couple but I do not have test tool to find right one.
