2002 Cadillac DTS Ignition Key

I am unable to remove the key from the ignition and the automatic door and trunk locks do not work, even though a new battery has been purchase and installed. Also the information system show incorrect messages to check tire pressure and stablizing systm.

Does the key rotate completely to the off position. The door locks will not do anything, or just not lock? Do they make noise when you cycle unlock. It may just be recognizing that the key is still in the ignition and preventing the doors from locking prevents keys being locked in. What makes the messages incorrect, does it not have tire pressure monitoring?
