I just purchased a 2000 Cadillac Deville Northstar eng,v8 4.6, 134000 miles. Just had the actuator replaced because no air was blowing out of the dash vents, air would come out of the floor and defrost vents only. Even before the replacement of the actuator there was no a/c coming out of the rear climate unit, the air was hot only. The rear fan would blow, LED's worked properly (display wise). After the repair nice cold air blows from the dash not from the rear and when stopped at a light the air does not stay cold. The mechanic did say that the compressor will need to be replaced soon, because there is a rattling sound coming from the compressor. He said that he could service the compressor with freon and oil and it may last longer. Any Ideas on the rear a/c?
