I have a 1994 Cadilac Deville Concourse, with only 64,000 miles on it with the North Star Engine. For the past several years i have been getting a very small oil leak drip on my garage floor, which has gradually increased to the level it is now of more and more daily. It seems like allot more than it really is, because a few drops of oil make a really BIG mess, when it continues. recenly a mechanic told me that it was in fact a Upper Pan gasket that was leaking and that the only way to repair it was to remove the engine from the car to the tune of about $2500. Do you know of any alternative, short of tradeing it in ? I have tried 2 pints of some stop leak additive, which seems to have done little good either

No real options other than the one you have been given. Those N'stars make great power, but leak like a sieve.
