I will start happening once the engine warms up and then increase in frequency. I have had the sensor replaced and the connection to the ECM checked by my local machanic, and it still happens.
What should I try next? There are no other codes.
Could the ECM be getting heat sensitive? Its a northstar with 78,000 miles. Otherwise very good condition.
The only other simptom I notice is that It will stall
at idle occassionally.
Would like to track this down. Thanks Ken[/quo
what engine 4.6 or 4.9[/quote:b2559e66b7]
4.6 northstar[/quote:b2559e66b7]
see if the wires to the sensor are loose when plugged in, sometimes there tight, when the engine flexes the wires get pulled on, when unpluged the ck to the ecm may show that there good( the harness isnt long enough )[/quote:b2559e66b7]
Have checked the wires out it dosent seem to be the problem. Have repalced the ECU (pricy) and it still happen excatly the same. it will stall once and a while at idle and sort of mis-a beat at highway speed and not stall. Now I am running into a low voltage situation. It seems to charge up enougth to start the car in warm weather but not cold.
Also it stalled on me 5 times, ONCE, on the way home from work. Always at idle. Noticed a P025 (x25 map : Crank sensor issue). Never did this again. This was the day after a 700 mile trip.
This car appearS to be in good shape and it runs well other wise. It is unmolested not somuch as a new radio - HELP! Is it a ground some where.. the alternator? Does have a trailer light package installed.
This was a factory install but someone put an old fashend connector on it.
m really frustrated. Please help someone.[/quote:b2559e66b7]
if you had a crank sensor code replace them both, a relearn will have to be done through the dealer for crank sensors, it also sounds like the battery is no good also, but get your sys ck, what does it say it charging through the IP? 13.9 to 14.1 normal
