Are theses Northstar engines compatible

i have a 1996 deville with the 4.6L northstar v-8,engine blown. a shade tree mechanic i know is trying to sell me a 1994 seville with a northstar v-8 for $1250 for the entire car (it was rear ended).. i have driven the car.. it runs nice and fine. can i swap the 93 seville northstar and put it in the 1996 deville?? and if so, should i just take all the components over to the 96?? i have the VIN of the 93 seville it is 1G6KY5296PU823595
