Electrical problem V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 39,000 miles

I am trying to lift rear seat up and out to gain access to Battery. No matter how hard I pull push or tug, the seat will not release so I can pull it up. Is there a tool I can use to force it up or can I reach any clips or fasteners that are holding it down. I have got into the back and tried pulling up on both sides together. It will not move, just the top cover comes up a few inches.

How difficult is it to change the battery.

Do i need to plug something into the cigarette lighter to keep power while changing?

Do I have to buy a special battery or canI get one at Wal-Mart?

Lift up the rear seat cushion, the battery is on the rh side. If you have rear seat heaters, there is a connector to the cushion, disconnect and you can remove the cushion. A power saver is not necessary, you will have to set the clock, and perhaps radio station presets. It is not a special battery, But I am not really fond of Walmart batteries. A batteries life can directly depend on its shelf life(turnover), and maintenance while on the shelf.
