You should be able to get to these through the inside of the trunk lid right behind the license plate area.

Open the trunk lid and press on the right side of the license plate bulb housing to detach the tab, then lower the housing and disconnect the wire connector.Rotate the holder and remove it from the housing and pull the bulb out. reverse the procedure when you are done.
