2001 Cadillac Deville power steering out

I am a 24 yr. old female wanting to replace my power steering pump hose/line.etc. Initally about 2 months ago, it would make loud grinding noises when I turned. I added power fliud to make it stop. I had it looked at and he told me it would be 300 dollars. I am poor so I didn't do it. Well now Im guessing the hole got worse because when I put fliud in it, it leaks out by the next day. So pretty much I drive without power steering. It doesn't make the noises anymore, just extremely annoying to drive. I know the basics about a car, but not much more. Is this realistic that I could be walked through the process to order parts and fix this problem? I don't have any family or friends that could help me either. I just moved to New orleans from Arkansas. Thanks

Do you know where the leak is? The pressure hose can be replaced, but there is no real way to describe how to remove/replace it. Obviously you could cut it and make removal easier, but installing it is more of a hands on job. The pump is easy, right up on top. You need to be certain of where the leak is exactly, and that will minimize the supplies you would need to purchase. Chances are, that if the hose is leaking, you may not need a pump. Add some fluid and see if you can pinpoint the leak. I can tell you what you will need in tools and parts, and would try my best on the procedure. There was a design change on the pressure hose, and normal book procedures may not apply exactly.
