2001 Cadillac Deville power steering leak

2001 Cadillac Deville V8 99000 miles

My power steering system is leaking but im not sure from where, how can i find out where the leak is coming from without having to take it to a mechanic?

Where is it the wettest, near the pump, in the belt area. Most often the pressure line leaks. Look at the line that emerges from the top of the pump, runs toward the firewall, and down toward the gear. The pump can leak, it would show sign in the same area as above. The gear can leak, it typically will leak about under the drivers footwell area, left side near rear subframe bolts.
