My 2001 Cadillac Deville with 120k miles on the Northstar engine started flashing her service engine soon light. When I took it to the mechanic he said it would either be the spark plugs, coil or head gasket. He replaced the spark plugs and is going to replace the coil tomorrow....but feels like it is the head gasket. It has not been running warm or overheating at all....just suddenly running rough and blinking service engine soon light. Can it be the head gasket when it hasn't been running hot?
