Aboujt 2 years ago when the car had about 63,000 miles on it, I allowed the transmission fluid to get low, to the point it wasnt shifting correctly, and of course the "check engine soon" warning light came on. I filled the transmission, and had it serviced regularly, but the "check engine soon" light continues to be on ALL the time. I took it to Advanced Auto, and they used a computer and turned the light off, however before I got back home it was back on again.
I am concerned that when I decide to trade or sell it, that the light will cause the buyer to be afraid of it. The engine and transmission operate perfectly.
What can I do?
