this is a huge job, and the trans needs to come out, and the engine suspended in the car with a engine support, and do the oil pan gasket as well, 12-1500 at dealer, took me a day and a half to repair this, so this is not for the non-mechanical person

This helps a-lot I have been hearing things of a special tool needed to remove pins from the tranny to get to the seal. Is there any validity to that if not I will have some help from a good friend who know a little more than about Cadillacs. Thanks for the info if you have any thing that may be helpful please send it.

its probally the oil pan thats leaking, you need an engine support and trany jack, air compressor ( to remove the frt pully bolt, its tough), frt pully puller, you have to use a special sealer for the oil pan, do both pans, parts are about 500.00, you have to drop the engine down about 7-10 in to get the trans out
