Electrical problem V8 Two Wheel Drive 105000 miles
When it's dark out the screen in the car says headlamps suggested which tells me the sensor is working telling me its dark out. when you shift into drive the running lights come on no tail lights no head lights. I have checked all fuses nothing burnt out. I have moved the headlight sentinel switch back and for nothing happens. Also lights are out on the inside of for car like the lights on the string wheel and the radio. The lights for the speedometer work as does the clock. The head lights are automatic. There is a sensor that senses that it is dark and that should turn on the lights. The sensor looks like it is working since the information display on the dash says headlamps suggested. The switch that controls the headlights slides side to side, if you have it in the off position and its dark out that is when you will get the "headlamps suggested" on the display. The sliding switch is to adjust at what darkness the headlights go on. Well while testing it my wife put her hand over the sensor and nothing happens till you put the car in drive then the headlamps suggested comes on and the daytime running lights come on but no tale lights. The break lights and flashers work. Any other questions let me know. Thank you for your help. Andrew
