........but the computer is saying there are no codes, still it allowed me to go through the clearing process, but the compressor still would not go on. When I purchased the car, I was advised to add due to leak, aprox every 3 months. But I've never been able to get in. Once when I checked it, the reading on the can was it was almost over filled. I've read that's not good. the unit has run fine, but in the last couple of weeks, I felt it get warm, drove it, turned of off. When back in a few hours and it was fine. Yesterday I drove it, it was running fine and then simpy when hot. I took it to a mechanic that hooked up to the high and low side, that's all, and he concluded the the unit is filled with freon and that I need a new compressor. This may be possible, but I don't believe him. I don't think enough test were run. The dash board is reading "low frigerant/ac compressor off. What do you think.
