Engine Performance problem
1997 Cadillac Deville Two Wheel Drive Automatic 108000 miles
The car had been parked unused for over 6 months until last March. Since then it has been used on occasion. When it is on a highway at a good speed everything is fine. In local driving after braking or after being stopped at alight, the car hesitates and sometimes makes an engine noise like a backfire or a rumbling backfire when I then step on the gas to resume driving. Sometimes the hesitation is prolonged and there is no noise.
