1996 Cadillac Deville Six way split power seats

The drivers side seat will move in all directions except back and forth. Where should I start looking, the switch or motor? Thanks in advance for your help.

If you know which motor it is, check power and ground at the connector when the switch is cycled. The easiest method would be a test light, and it should light in both directions, it just reverses polarity. If it does light in both directions, the motor is failed. I don't believe the motors are available seperately.
