Car had service transmission messgae and service engine soon light about 3 months ago. also have a lot of trouble starting it, very consistently. mechanic said if light comes back on call me and replaced the battery. couple weeks ago lights started up again, very intermittently. last friday on way home from work on highway, was up to about 60mph and car began to kind of downshift/decelerate. i pulled over and added oil as i thought maybe i was low. managed to get home going 60 mph. ran diag codes and got a RS0038 CURRENT. car is running fine when driving in town but now i am afraid to drive it to work which is 50 highway miles away.
