[quote:e767ca6594="Chispas"]I continue to have problems trying to start my caddy, I check the codes and this is what it gives me.
E: 12 - 52 - 53 - 70
EE: 12 - 70
In your previews advised you talk about "TPS ADJUSTED TO .5 VOLTS WITH ISC MOTOR FULLY RETRACTED" for 52 and 53 codes., now this code 70 where is this come from . Is this throttle related issue?
Replacement of the ISC will resolve the problem?
I appreciate any advice .
This ongoing problem has render this car useless for the last 12 months. if I take it to a shop about how much will I be throwing at it to get it fix.,it's staring to be very frustrating .
Thank you.[/quote:e767ca6594]
code 12 replace the hall effect switch it in the distributor (cam sensor) remove the distributor to do this, replace the pick up coil also
the ISC motor works off the TPS if you dont set it right it throws off the ISC motor
after the dist stuff is done, do the TPS adjment, clean the throttle plates with carb cleaner there probally black with soot, the throttle plate has to be clean, raise the idle to above 1500 rpms to disingage the ISC motor, use your finger to push it down, and then disconnect it, does the car idle normaly, if it doesnt then adjust the idle to 500 rpms. Back prob the TPS for its voltage signal its .5 volts no more no less. shut the motor off and then reconnect the ISC motor. let the car warm up a little, it may Idle a little high, this is normal, a Idle relearn must be preformed. shut the car off and wait a sec and then cycle the key 3 times( on, off, on, off, on, off ) turn everything off AC and heater, and start the car, let it idle for 3 min without anything on, after 3 min turn the AC on let idle 3 min, after that drop it into gear and wait 5 min, shut the car off and then test drive it, if it still Idles high do it again
