Engine Performance problem
1992 Cadillac Deville V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100ish miles
Ok, as stated in subject this vehicle is a handfull. To start with i bought this car off a used car salesman for roughly 2 grand and drove it for a couple months with no issues. then suddenly i noticed after i would get outta work periodically i could get it to start but the idol was really rough, then my friend helped me screw out this idol mechanism that connects to the idol wire thing that once screwed out it seemed like it would help it to idle at a more consistent rpm, but then one day i was driving home over a bridge and my serpentine belt snapped and my water pump pulley snapped off, then i had a mechanic friend of mine pull the old pulley out and jerry rig a new pulley in that probably wasnt the exact same part as the original, anyway after this was repaired it ran fine again for quite some time but then i really started losing power and had not a clue what was wrong with the car... so i had a friend of a friend whom is an automobile diagnostic expert dude that really knows his stuff come over and plug this computer into my car and he explained that to start with the check engine light wire was cut which was a red flag then on top of that he found that my car wasnt getting the proper ammount of fuel in the motor and he came to the conclusion that the intake manifold gasket is rotted out and needs replaced, but from what i hear on the 92 coup deville with the 4.9 liter its a real bitch to get to this gasket i mean i dont really know what im asking here maybe just some helpful advice now that i have outlined the problems i am having any help would be appreciated thanks in advance
