1990 Cadillac Deville acceleration

I had a acceleration issue. I tuned it up an no luck. I've recently took it to the shop. They put a fuel pump an spark plugs charged me $252 and give it back to me and said they didn't know what the problem was. If you give it gas it sounds like its getting air but won't speed up. What could be causing this? Thanks, Mike Fuchs

Have the exhaust backpressure checked, disconnect the exhaust before the cat, or remove the O2 sensor and drive to see if it improves. If it does, replace the cat.
