Can having your thermosta replace cause the oil value cover gasket to go bad and began to leak?

I have a situtation where I had my thermosta replaced on a 2003 CTS Cadillac and the other day oil started pouring out of my engine onto the manfold. Six months ago I had the valve cover gasket, oxygen sensor, throttle body gasket, intake manifold gasket, pienum gasket, camshaft cover seal, valve cover bolt, intake manifold bolt replaced with all new gm parts. Can this just break down again that soon or did the mechanics at the dealership whom replaced the thermosta do something to cause the problem?

Now both the repair shop who have been in business for over sixty years says they don't understand why it would have taken 6 month to go bad if they did something wrong and the dealership who replaced the thermosta is saying they did nothing but charged me ne gskt, seal kit, gskt-manf, after the thermosta was replaced.

if you had a dealership do these repairs, it still should be under warranty, you have a warrenty on all repairs make them fix it, is this a caddy dealer or a gm dealer?

I had my thermostat replaced just a few months ago...now my valve cover gasket is leaking oil onto the exhaust manifold. Sounds identical to the other post...
