The diagnostic thing said I need a new Coolant Sensor, my engine light kept coming on, we bought one, but can't figure out where it goes, can someone tell me where the sensor goes please?

Also, on a separate note, my car makes a LOUD rattling sound, unless I'm turning to the left, I thought it was my muffler, but had that checked and nope, when I turn to the left the sound stops, otherwise it's SUPER LOUD... any thoughts?

Thanks
Brenda

Hello,

The Coolant Sensor is located on the top rear of the Intake Manifold.

As for the Rattling, is it a rattle or a clicking? If more of a clicking noise then would say that it is possibly a CV Axle going bad.

Nope, definitely not a clicking sound, i thought i had a hole in my muffler, it was that kind of sound, really loud too. Thanks SO much for the location of the sensor, I truly appreciate it.

Your welcome,

Since the rattle stops when turning to the left I would say it is probably something in the Suspension. Can you tell if it is coming from the front or rear of the vehicle.

I can't really tell, but I kind of think it's the front, only because when I turn to the left it stops, but i guess that could as easily be the back lol - the steering wheel connects to them all LOL - I must sound like a loon, and i am not blonde either lol

No your no a Loon, a Mallard maybe lol,

I believe the problem will be on the passenger side since when you turn left it put more pressure on the passenger side wheels and suspension.

You will most likely need to take it to a shop to find the rattle. Try one thing, Take the Wheel covers off and drive it. If rattle is gone then most likely is a loose wheel cover. They can get loud especially if there is a chance that a rock or something has gotten inside if it.
