1997 Cadillac Catera car will not start

Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Cadillac Catera Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Car just turns over but will not start. If you remove the 2 plastic covers that run to engine and spray ether into motor it will start. also having trouble keeping battery charged. What can this be??

first of all dont spray ether into the motor its not 02 sensor safe and can ruin the cats, use carb cleaner, sounds like a fuel prob like the pump
