Hello,

Does anyone know where the cabin air filter is located in the vehicle listed above and how to replace it? I see videos for other years, but not 2003. Any ideas? I think it is most likely behind the glove box, but I just want to be sure and know what to expect. Thanks.

Hi,

There are actually two that sit side by side. They are behind the glove box in the HVAC box. Here are the directions. The attached pics correlate with the directions.

Thank you. Do you know if the cabin air filters are sold in sets of two? And, do you recommend a certain brand or model?

Honestly, I suspect they will be sold individually. However, I could be wrong. As far as brand, nothing specific. Any of the brands sold at a parts store will work well.

Interestingly, these filters are designed to remove pollen and other contaminates from the air entering the vehicle, so replacement in the spring (especially if you have allergies) is a good time to replace them.

Please feel free to let me know if you have other questions or need anything.

Take care,
Joe

I took off the cover and it looks like no filters are in there.

Good afternoon,

If I am not mistaken, the filter is in the picture. The leaves are laying on it.

Are the filters side by side or one on top and one on the bottom?

Just pull that unit out. The replacement will look the same as you see in the picture.

It does not appear to be a filter. It is metal and is part of the car.

Hard to tell from the picture but I attached a picture of the filter.

It may be that someone removed it at some point and never replaced it.
