Code c1096?

Hello, have you tested the ABS system to see if the motor will activate when tire slippage is happening? For example you can go somewhere there is a dirt parking lot and slam on the brakes and see if the ABS activates and pulses the solenoids in the ABS hydraulic unit.
And does your scan tool have the capability to watch live ABS data? And are there any other codes stored in any other modules?
You should clear the code out before trying to test drive and ABS activation, because the system might disable the system with a code set.

If the ABS unit does not activate during skid test, and the code sets again, I pulled up the wiring diagrams for you to check the power and ground feeds to the ABS unit to make sure this is not a wiring or connector issue.
Its important to see if the power and ground feeds for the ABS module can carry a good amount of current flow, so its best to use a test lamp that has a few amp draw to check the wiring. If there is a connector that is corroded or pin fitment issue and cant carry enough current flow, the ABS motor wont have enough power to activate the solenoids.
