A/C Compressor gave out from a flood, and we want to bypass the A/C compressor. How would we go about this? We have the belt, we just need a diagram and some tips.

Sorry, you can bypass the A/C compressor, the belt is not set up that way for a bypass. Please look at the image below to see what I am talking about.

With the factory parts there is no way to bypass the A/C using just a belt. You will need a bypass pulley that puts an idler in the place of the A/C compressor like the Dorman 34236. You would remove the bad compressor and bolt the bypass in it's place. Then the belt goes on like normal. However when you say the compressor gave out, do you mean the clutch and bearing or the compressor itself failed? If it's the bearing, that can be changed out rather easily and you would have A/C again. You would get the pulley removal tools as a loaner tool, then follow the directions for the compressor you have to remove the clutch and then the pulley. Then the snap ring allows the bearing to come off. Reverse the process to install the new bearing.
