Buring a Quart of Oil in Between Oil Changes

My car has been burning a quart of oil in between oil changes. I thought it may have been a problem with my PCV Valve. I removed the valve and it did not make any noise when i gave it a quick shake. I also noticed some oil at the lower part of the tube (opposite of the tube connected to my intake manifold). Could this be the cause of my car burning oil? Is it normal for oil to be on that part of the valve? Any other recommendations?

The part of the pcv that has oil is the part that is opposite of where the hose hooks?IHow many miles do you drive between oil changes?

The oil is present in the the tube leading to the pcv valve. I change my oil every 5000km. (P.S. thank you for responding to my question)

If your only burning a quart of oil in that many miles that's not bad at all Does the pcv look sludged up?

Sorry for being late, PCV valve was fine, I changed it anyways, but still burning the oil, may not seem like a lot but any idea what may be causing this?

Could be valve stem seals or some oil ring issues or a combo of both.When cars get some miles on them they burn oil not uncommon. I would say its not burning a excessive amounts of oil that would even warrant a repair.
