I have a 1992 Skylark GS V6 3.3L w/ 71K miles on it. Drives and runs great most all of the time...minus when it stalls. It usually stalls soon after I take my foot off of the accelerator and/or press the brake. These are the signs I see just as the car stalls:
*rpms drop below ~7-800rpm
*voltage drops below 13v on the instrument cluster
*brakes get hard to depress
*check engine light comes on
At times, I am also noticing that the ABS light comes on as I start the car. Also, I have noticed that while driving, the RPM and the SPEED needle will at times just go blip all over the place and then back to normal.
Upon checking for error codes, picked up Code 42. I removed the Ignition Control Module and had it tested (~15-18 resets at AutoZone) and it passed each time.
Where do I go from here?
