Many months ago I had a significant water/coolant leak... inside ENGINE compartment, against the firewall, almost center. Was told it was a bad heater core. Budget did not allow replacement, so heater core was bypassed. Now need to repair. Concern is that EVERYONE I have talked to has told me that if heater core leaks, would be on the INSIDE of the car, not the engine compartment. So not sure that the core is even "bad". Could it have simply been a hose or connection that was bad ? (This repair shop SCREWED ME OVER already, so I would not be the least but surprised)! PLEASE HELP!!! Wind chill factor of 24 degrees and I have no heat!! :-) THANK YOU!!!!!
