I am trying to upgrade my alternators existing charging and ground wires.
The alternator has a black cooling shroud on the back covering the posts i need to access.
The shroud seems removable, but the rear mounting bar is directly behind the shroud effectively blocking removale of the shroud.
I dont think removing the rear mounting bar (1 of 3 mounting bars) while the alt belt is under tension is a good idea.
So I believe i need release tension on the belt and remove the alternator to gain accsess to the posts.
Or can I just pop the shroud off....?
I think I know what needs to be done, but a step by step guide would be very much appreciated.

Please help
Thanks Very much
