Shakes or Wobbles problem
1996 Buick Roadmaster V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The rear of the car occasional chatters up and down I have put new shocks on the tires are balanced and do not shake or bounce . I have changed the spark plugs the spark plug wires the distributor the water pump .
The car runs great and gets good gas milage .It has no codes in the terminal. My machanic still thanks it is ign related but I am at my wits end . Thanks

When you hear the noise, does the engine act like it is missing?

Thanks for your reply Jacobandnickolas .No the engine doesent miss . I have found the problem . It was the TORQUE CONVERTER . A can of shudder gard fixed it . After my brother and another mechanic said how common it was I am surprised no one on here knew what it was . Thanks anyway

You got me because I thought it was coming from the rear. I wasn't thinking transmission when you said that. It is hard sometimes to identify a problem when you are not there to actually experience it.

Regardless, I'm glad you found the problem.
