The power steering pump is gone out. Its located on the left bottom side of the motor right behind the belt. How do I remove or get to it to replace it?

Hello,

Each car is a a little different but follow the same procedure. Here is a guide and video of the job being done.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-replace-a-power-steering-pump

Removal and Installation:

1. Remove power steering pump drive belt.
2. Disconnect power steering gear inlet and outlet hoses from pump. On supercharged engines, also disconnect remote reservoir hose from pump reservoir.
3. Remove two pump mounting bolts.
4. Raise and support vehicle.
5. Remove pump from beneath engine.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten pump mounting bolts to specifications.

Please run this test and get back to us so we can continue helping you.

Best, Ken

squealing goes away when wd40 is applied (direct to power steering pulley others are working properly ) & it comes back with a little louder squeal . not to sure if its just the whole wheel "pulley" or if its just the belt but i doubt its the belt . what suggestions or ideas do you think this could be caused by? & if im on the right track on solving this problem. A belt is cheap. And now that's there is wd-40 on it you will need one. Pulleys rarely make noise that's goes away when spraying them. Install a new belt and clean all the pullys
