1965 Buick Riviera V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I get an oil or fuel smell from the engine while stopped or idleing...does the carbs need adjustment ?or do i have an exhast leak?The car has dual 4 barrels

Can you tell if it is oil or fuel? Can you smell it in the car or only outside? Are there any oil leaks? Have you checked for fuel line leaks?
