Accelerating & reving and NOT using gas pedal.

04 Buick Rendevous, 82k. Base model.

Accelerating and not using gas pedal. While in neutral and Park & it sounds like it's revving, but the RPM's are not going up. Turned off & turned back on, revving went away (briefly) but then continued to accelerate on own.

Help!

If you have a vacumm leak it could cause a high idle. Any check engine lights or anything on?

not a thing.

I noticed the change about an hour ago, I was pulling out of a parking lot & put it in reverse. It shifted hard & then this started.
