Electrical problem 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 60000 miles

Im pretty much a car idiot, but was hoping to get some advice. Recently, my 2003 Buick Rendezvous, heated seats just stopped working. No light on panel switch button and no heat from seats.

Could this be as simple as a fuse? Or has anyone else experienced this same problem? Any input would be welcome.

Thanks

Hello,

The system is amazingly simple they have a fuse a switch and a control module. Lets check the power source which is a 30 amp breaker and then go from there. Here is a guide to help you see how to check for power and ground along with a guide on how to check the fuse.

and

Here are some heated seat wiring diagrams and the fuse locations (below).

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

If the passenger seat works, then the fuse is not your issue. You will have to troubleshoot by following the wiring diagram and testing with a test light. https://www.2carpros.com/images/external/105720980.gif

Electrical problem
2003 Buick Rendezvous 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 65000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
The driver side seat heater quit working all of a sudden. The switch indicator light still comes on when the switch is activated but no heat follows. The passenger side has continued to work without problems. I assume they are on separate fuses? Checked under the seat to see if any wires were visibly damaged or disconnected. None found. Any ideas on how to trace down the problem with a multi-meter (Unfortunately I have no schematic).

The drivers side seat does not heat up but the passenger side does. The light on the switch comes on after waiting a while but the seat does not heat up. Is there a fuse in the seat?

If the light comes on, it is getting power. Make sure there are no damaged wires or anything disconnected.

The driver seat heated up fine and then the next time it was driven, it didn't heat up at all.

Most of the time the heater element in the seat goes bad.Do you have a multi meter to do some testing?
