i have a 1991 Buick Regal with a 3.1 liter V6. My vehicle is acting so awful that I don't even have the patience to drive it anymore. It idles at 30+ MPH. While driving through town I have to constantly use the brake because it always accelerates up to about 35 MPH. Also, when I come to a stop the car jolts and then idles very low and rough almost as if it's about to die. We've replaced all of the following parts: AIS, fuel pressure regulator, oxygen sensor, alternator, battery, IAC, and those are just the items I can remember. The most frustrating part is that we've taken it to the mechanic numerous times and they're baffled as well because the vehicle computer says that everything is working fine. A friend suggested that it may be the harmonic balancer. Could that be the problem? And if not what could it be?
