1998 Buick Regal LS 3.5 L 50,000 miles automatic, 2 wh drive

Began noticing a thumping in the front end, increases with speed but diminishes somewhat at high speeds. Very noticeable at low speeds.
Is this an alignment, rods or wheel pboblem, or what?

Does the car have the Goodyear Eagle LS tires? if so look at the inside edge of the tread and see what kind of condistion they are in.(Chppy or knoted) Check the outer tie-rod ends to see if they feel loose. I assume that it is a rotational noise????

Cly

Oh....One more thing I have seen is the chrome on the inside of the rim coming off. but that is more of a scaping noise.

Yes, it is a rotational noise and feeling in the steering wheel.
