how to replace drive and passenger airbag and reset computer

Shut car off with wheels pointing straight. remove key from ignition.In fuse panel locate SIR fuse (see pic) remove fuse

Then locate the SIR connector (yellow) at base of steering column, unplug it as well (See pic)

Now you will need a special 2 pronged tool to remove the air bag from the steering wheel,The holes are in the back of the steering wheel where you insert the tool to release the bag.Unplug and remove bag, install new one.Reconnect SIR connector, then replace fuse.You will now need ascan tool capable of accessign the SRS system to reset the codes, the computer will not reset itself. This job is best left to a shop with experience in the SRS sysetm, if the system has other failures they will be able to see them with the scanner and ensure the system will work properly after the repair

information on airbag is appreciated, but am needing information on how to change out the passenger airbag

According to Mitchell, the entire dash cover has to come off to access the pass side bag.instrument cluster, side a-pillars, glove box, steering column, center console all have to come out.
