I've had my car for four years and take very good care of it. Last week the car turned off while driving..pulled off the side of the road and it started back up. After driving about a mile it turned off again. tried starting it and the dash board lights started going crazy, flickering on/off and the engine was choking... finally was able to get it to the my mechanic who checked battery, alternator and thinks it has something to do wiith the ignition but not sure and advised that I take it to the dealer. it's now at the dealer and they tell me they've recieved an alert about the car doing what I'm discribing and gm recommends some type of procedure which (remove underhood, repair terminal, instal diaelcreic grease, blah, blah, blah) apparently didn't work and now they tell me they're trouble shooting but really don't know what's wrong. I've read alot of forums about the same problem but can;t seem to get an straight answer.. GM is obviously aware of this problem and hasn't done anything about it. I can't afford a new car and need HELP!!!
