my mom has a 2000 buick regal that i just put transmission in the problem that we are having is the dash lights dont come on when its dark like they are suppost to and it not the fuses and the headlight switch it self i know there those two sensor on top of the dash but i dont know of a way of testing them im just wondering if there a relay or other fusable link somewhere in dash that i dont know about but i really need to fix this problem

There is a dimming control on the headlamp switch, you need to check that if you haven't already. You can turn the interior lites off with that control. Any fuses that you check also check for voltage on the fuse circuit, with park lites on.

Hey JDL, anyway you could send over the rest of the schematic for the dimmer circuit to that 2000 regal? I keep popping the 7.5 amp fuse.

I can't post the whole diagram and make it readable. Autozone site, www.autozone.com, has free wiring diagrams. You have to register your vehicle, but, it's all free. It will ask for year make model, all that good stuff. Then click on vehicle repair guides, then scroll down to wiring diagrams. When that page comes up, the left column has the index, lighting interior.
