My anti-lock brake check engine light is on. The electrical harness that goes to the wheel sensor on the passanger side was damaged. I disconnected the harness ( a portion about 2' long that plugs into another harness), cut the wires (black and white), then rejoined them. When I tested those wires with an ohm meter I found that there was resistance in the wire. Is it suppose to be that way, or should there be free flowing current to the wheel sensor with no resistance. Needless to say, when I reconnected the harness, the light remained on. Also, when you change brakes on a car with an anti-lock brake system, should you open the bleeder valve before you compress the piston?
