I have a broken rear strut. Is this something an average person (non-mechanic) can replace. Also the spring that runs along the top of the rear axle is broken. What is the name of that part?

the spring is called the rear leaf spring. you might have a little trouble replacing the spring but you will be able to replace the strut with no problems
