the left rear side of the car is leaning badly. there is a loud bang when I go over a bump. I can see a broken spring. I was told on that car repairs could be 1300.00 or more. does that sound right?

WOW! Flat rate gives 2.6 hours to replace both front (which I recommend). I found coil springs on the net for $102.31 a pair. The car will need aligned when it's worked on which will be around $50.00. That means the mechanic is making around $300.00 an hour.

102.31 = coil springs
+50.00 = alignment
+50.00 per hour = avg labor rate

1300.00 = your est.
-202.31 = aprox. cost
