1995 Buick Regal car smells "hot"

My car smells "hot", even though the engine temp is normal or cooler, all fluids are full and nothing is leaking, and the car hasn't been driven hard or for long miles. It just smells like it's been driving 5 hours in the desert!! Why?

Hi well are you sure the temp guage is right. here is a simple way to tell.touch the radiator hose when car is at norm temp.if it is 185 degrees you can put your hand on it it will be hot . but if it is more then that you can,t put your hand on it for more then a second.


another possibility is your eng is leaking oil and you smell it burning.

either way if no leaks temp normal no cooling system prob.. billymac
